If the lateral incisors of your child have not yet emerged after 10 months, rest assured that they will be visible at 16 months. These will be followed by the first molars at 14 to 18 months and by the canines at 17 to 23 months. Your child’s deciduous teeth, also known as temporary teeth, primary teeth, milk teeth and baby teeth are very important to take care. Temporary teeth are the main foundation excellent permanent teeth. Keep your child away from the following objects:
- Sharp items like as knives, blades, cutter blades, construction tools, etc.
- Electrical outlets, your child at his instinct and curiosity may insert his fingers or metallic object like spoon into them. This may result in electrocution.
- Matches or lighters, anything that produces fire, this may burn him or burn you house.
- Medicines, always keep these out of reach of your child to prevent swallowing that may lead to choking or overdose.
- Poisonous chemicals, these are combustible and may harmful to the skin, eyes, lungs or may poison (more…)
